You will need a two litter bottle of coke and a quart of rum with a glass and a knife. Mix coke and rum as preferred and drink same. When you have 2 inches coke left drink the rum and dispose of properly in a ecological manner! Cut top 1/3 off plastic coke bottle remove cap and insert top 1/3 into bottom 2/3's. Dig a small hole 4inches by 4 inches in direct sunlight and place plastic coke bottle in hole. Vine wasp will smell the coke and go to drink it for the sugar. But you have put 4 drops of dish soap in the coke and when the wasp lites on the coke he will drown because the dish soap will remove surface tension! The important thing is to place bottle in direct sun and to not drink remainder of coke after adding dish soap!

Thanks for posting. I have made a ton of minnow traps the same way with 2 liter bottles - just have to add holes with a hot nail and attach. Ill give it a try with borers
