How did you hear about bigpumpkins? I think it was 07 I was looking for more info on big pumpkins on the internet, like what people feed them, what the world record was, could anybody actually be thrilled about growing these like me? Soon I was thrilled to death, I this mecca! Felt like the wizard of oz and I finnàly found the emerald city! Another thought, it would be cool if you could attach a Pict to these messages.

My first year growing I got a 176.6# with generic AG seeds. I talked to Greg Norlin at the weigh off. He gave me a lot of advice, and the best was to go to this website.

Richard B,great ? that I do not think I have an answer for...xcept google...search for "giant pumpkins"...and then found bp.com. Been a lot o years ago, and been so much fun, that I kant put it into words! Never grown a biggun...but might get a chance to grow again, someday? Being involved, in a small way, with the weigh off at Bear Wallow Farms...and being an original member of the KPM (LOL)...has been a tun o fun!!!! Lot's of memories w/the folks from VanHook Lane!!!!!Peace, Wayne

I was checking out the big pumpkins at the Bethlehem Fair on drop off night (I believe it was 2005) I started asking questions to some of the growers. One of the growers had a big pumpkins.com t-shirt on. He told me to get online and check out the site. I found out later that the guy I was talking to was John Deary one of the two founders of bp.com.
