i have made a lifting ring but don't know to tie the knot on the rope beneath on the pumpkin. Does anybody know how it is called?

A Schotstek (sheet bend) works nicely.

A loop on one end of the rope. Then the other end of the rope through the loop. You can cinch the rope through the loop to take the slack out.A one pass through type knot to hold it there any kind will do
