Russ, our biggest will always go to Circleville. The Pumpkin Show is the reason we started growing in the first place. It is our home town.
LOL Bryan, don't be too sure about that. At least one, and I've heard that possibly 2 bigger than ours... I think it will be an interesting weigh off.

Cecil I think circleville will have their biggest top 10 ever this year. "If" it survives I'll have a new pb but it'll have to go 20% heavy to get near what I think your taping. ..lol

Wow, a grower who understands the principle of loyalty! Most growers with really big pumpkins are loyal to the U.S. Dollar.

when we start worrying about the money it will be time to find another hobby. This is a labor of love, and putting it on display at our home town for 4 days for everyone to enjoy and marvel at is worth every ounce of sweat that went into it. Then we put them on display in our yard till Thanksgiving for the community to enjoy along with us.

Yes, there's probably only one grower a year who makes decent money in this game. Even then, with the work that the top growers put into a season, they're probably making minimum wage even with a huge win. A big pumpkin is worth so much more than the money for me.
