we have lots of friends in all areas of the country. rumors this time of rear run rampant.

i have heard stories of kins approaching 2,000 pounds in many areas of the west coast and pacific north west.

not as many rumors here on the east coast where it has been an unusually dry and cool summer.
still there will be many possibly not 2,000 but in the mid to high teens as well.

dont know much about central usa. everyones mum.

gearing up for another great weigh-off season.
big or small, new or old grower, there is always something to accomplish at these weigh-offs.
just the new frioends, tips and contacts you will make is worth the trip.some are good friends we see only a couple times a year but none the less have a great time with them.like my friend marv levy once said "where would you rather be than right here right now?"

remember friends --- everyone starts out near the bottom.
best of everything to all of you

pap and ron

Pap, it has been cool in the Midwest too, but wet. Too wet for some of us. But it beats being baked and dried out like the 2 previous years. I'm not hearing a lot, but I'm betting we will have a much better weigh-off this year. Either the growers here don't want to jinx themselves, or they have some real surprises to spring. I know I'm looking forward to seeing friends that I see only 1 day a year. Good luck and safe travel to all.

I hate it when my rear runs rampant, Pap! LOL!
KGPA's weighoff is next Sat. My pumpkin is solid, no signs of any problems, save a bottom side check! It may be a new PB for me.
The Midwest has done well except for the late floods, but I'm sure we'll see a giant sleeper out of the upper Miss. Ohio river basins.
I wasn't planning to get to have as much rain as we did, and with no irrigation system, it caught me totally unprepared. I did not do squat for prep!

So may rumors from all over the USA, clearly cannot count out Canada, and Europe might just surprise everyone. Was that vague or what? Don't forget about sandbaggers.
