it is sept 10 bad weather approaching weigh off in 10 days should I cut the kin from the vine?

Unless you are going to have a frost or freeze, i would stick it out till the weigh off. You could loose 1-2 lbs a day after you pick it.

Even if you are going to have a light frost I would leave it on the vine. You can cover the pumpkin to protect it. Even if the leaves get nipped, the roots can sill pump s few pounds of water in.
