Captain 97

Stanwood, Washington

Thanks Everyone. The pumpkin was grown on 290 Square feet basically on the edge of and partially in my driveway. I never really thought that I would grow anything this big. I started my season with a Goal of 1000 and honestly I didn't really believe I would get there. I owe it all great weather and to people on this website. First and foremost to Pap for sending me that 2009 Seed when I didn't even ask for it. I requested a 1623 seed from him and low and behold when the envelope came there was a 2009 in it as well. Also to Glenn Dixon and Jim Gerhardt for giving me little pieces of advice via e-mail. And the local Growers like Ron Barker and Stan Pugh who have mentored me a little bit. Also Joel Holland who is my supplier for all my goodies that go into the patch. The Pumpkin growing community really is a great bunch of people.
