Do these shaped pumpkins tend to go heavy or light?

I think it depends on whether they flatten out or not. It's my impression that if they stay wheel shaped and thicken horizontally with the ground that they will go heavy- ie: the walls are super thick and don't 'give or spread' as the pumpkin grows. My two cents, and likely will be flatly cut down.

you would expect them to weigh a bit over but with the present genetic pool? it could go either way.a lot depends on your growing and ammendment methods as well. pap

In my patch, they tend to go light.
