Well I heard of a pumpkin in the North West that's taping over 430 inches, (pollenated early July) and the guy didn't even grow last year. I guess resting the patch was a good thing

I think it is just one of several on the west coast. California has it's share of pumpkins that are way too big considering that it is still august. If they keep growing & make it to the end we are going to have world record breaking pumpkins that don't even win the contest that they go to.
