Farming- a bunch of catastrophies that result in a lifestyle

Ok. Looks like the Glasgow is going to get weighed in town on the grain scale. It measures down to 4 pounds, and is certified every 6 months by the state. Can I weigh the pumpkin on it's pallet, on the trailer, then go back and weigh the trailer and the pallet separate- do the math and come out with the pumpkins weight? Would this be official or does it have to go to a GPC location to get an official weight? it is off the vine, on a pallet, in a shade structure covered against sun, with constant large amount of air flow. I cleaned it with bleach solution and the pumpkin is solid with no issues. I don't see it making it till either 9/27 or 10/14 for either weigh off though as that is quite a long time, so am wondering how to get an official weight on it.

LB, to be recognized along with all the other GPC fruits it needs to be weighed at a GPC event on a certified platform scale without pallets, tarps etc..

I tried Spence. Have trailer, but no truck 'reliable' enough to go 791 miles one way. Your silly ass pumpkin was still gaining 10 pounds a day with a rotted vine, crap dirt, and no leaves. LOL. REPLANT! REPLANT! REPLANT! I'm including it in the 'grow over winter in greenhouse plan.' Thing was amazing. I will send ya some pics Spence.

LB the grain scale will get you within 8 lbs of actual weight.Nothing official but still better than a chart estimate.
