If you have a pumpkin shaped like the 1791 Holland or 1666 Holland would you measure below the steam and blossom, to get the circumference? Or would you measure above the bump?

I was on the measuring crew for the 1666 Holland and I believe we measured below the blossom but I can't really remember. :) You measure at the widest point parallel to the ground wherever it happens to be.

I was thinking that but wasn't sure since the bottom sticks out and it is only about a foot high. Thank Dan
