With cold nights hitting our area and slowing the already slow growth down I was wondering how some of the other PA NY growers that I normaly hear from are doing this year. It ok to sandbag some but there but I am wondering if some of these growers are even in their patches this year. Has anyone heard from Scottie DiMarco, "Upper Pine Runner" Mark, Myers Brothers,Curt; PlumberGuy, Gary, Diamond Lady, Rocky.. (I know you are creaping out there); Pumpkin Brat, Doc Gipe... I am sure I am missing some. How about Fast fred and Burrhead.. I am sure I am missing some. Hope all is well.

Eastern Pennsylvania

Record lows are killing my growth rates. They don't seem to be slowing John Rauch or the Fulks down much though. We will see for ourselves on Sunday.

47F last night, 45F the night before that, several nights in the 40's in July, too much rain, too many clouds, not much to talk about here except..........next year.

Same here :(
Slow growing over all. All 4 are still growing though. I believe it is too late in the season for a personal best from any catagory for me.

Cold and dry, slowing things down. Hope things turn around for the home stretch though it might be too late. Not expecting much this year. At least they're orange. What is "sandbagging"?

I'm still a live Ned. Been a wet summer. Average has been 4.5 days a week for rain. Summer? Not much sunshine at all. Been cold early here as well. Farmers in the area are hurting bad for a bad crop of second cutting of hay. Last two weeks we have had a lot of rain. Over five inches last week.

Good to hear from you Scottie... hope yours hold together for you. Keep them going !! I thought maybe you and Mark were umpiring at the Little League World Series. We may make it to Altoona this year. Save some of that "special drink" for us. Maybe we will see you Brian at Bethel.

Temps have felt like late sept. since mid july!
Supposed to briefly hit 80 next week so everything will probably split.
