I know if there is a soft or rotted area on a stem or kin that you scrape it off. What is the best treatment after that. Chlorine, peroxide, rubbing alcohol, sulpher???????????

I use and have great success with Sulfer Powder and a small fan. After I scrape out all soft material I rinse cleanwith peroxide straight let stand a few minutes and pad dry, pack lightly with the sulfer and put a fan on it for a few days or until it heals up dry. Was told this procedure by other growers on hear and it works great. Good luck

scrape, 100% peroxide it, pat dry once peroxide stops foaming, then straight captan powder. I used to use sulfur, which did work, but phew! Captan works like the bomb diggity.

We use Sulphur here in Cameron. Apply liberally on scraped out area of the kin & then put a fan on it 24/7 until the spot dries up & heals.

After scraping 4 of my stems I realized what the real issue was. 4 vine borers. Needless to say, they are now diceased.
