I know this may seem early to be thinking about weigh-offs, but I want to remind everyone about Team-Pumpkin’s second weigh-off this year that will occur on August 28th, 2014 from 4pm-8pm.

However, we cannot accept walk-in pumpkins, all entries must be preregistered, but on the bright side there is no registration, or weighing fees, it just takes a little time. While we like to have entries in by August 9th, we ask that you do it as soon as possible and August 22nd, 2014 is the absolute cut off. These are the Fair rules.

Even if you register and your planned pumpkin is still growing there is also the Durham Fair that occurs at the end of September, but if you do not register for Woodstock we cannot accept your entry. Be sure to check out our home page for a live count down to the respective weigh-offs.

We hope to see you (and your pumpkin) at the weigh-off. Even if the worst should happen and you lose your pumpkin feel free to come to the weigh-off as we can always use some help at the weigh-off and it is a great time to get to talk with other growers. Even if you are a new grower with a “small” pumpkin you are strongly encouraged to attend as we encourage entries of all sizes!
