We had a freak storm this week here. My rain gauge only goes to 6 inches and was overflowing. The pumpkins have stopped growing. 1/2 mile north or south of me had only light showers. I mst have been in the center of a front.

I have been there 3 times this year. Hopefully it will dry off, the sun will shine and the plants will take off again. Don't give up yet.

Sorry to hear that Bill. Hopefully the pumpkins will resume growing soon. Crazy weather this year. We haven't had 3" of rain all summer here in Cameron.
All the best,
Jane & Phil

Sorry to hear that Bill. So, now we have the summer of flash floods, hail and cold temps that followed the winter that never ended. Crazy weather for sure. But hey, I'm keeping faith and boldly predict the sun will shine again in western NY!(although it may not be this year) :)

Bill I'm not far from you (wales) and had 6 inches between two separate storms ... my pumpkin has also shut down since ... everything looks great but just sitting there pretty much not doing anything ...

Andy-
I have a few small gourds. The cold has really retarded vine growth. I am experimenting using a long board to train the gourd on an angle.
