Subject: Stem split stem to pumpkin

I have a stem split probably 1 inch deep below stem and 6 inches across pumpin. It seems to be healing but not sure if I should do anything. I did paint some captan paste into the hole tonight but wondering if I should do more. Pumpkin currently at 644 lbs . |

Watch it to see if it dries.keep water off that area.Putting a fan there for a couple days may help. |
