We planted a bunch of hot peppers earlier this year & they have been doing surprisingly well in our hot climate.
The plants are: Peach bhut jolokia, 7-pot brain strain, carolina reaper and a trinidad moruga scorpion.
My question is, would it be safe to make a salsa or something out of the peppers and feed it to some unsuspecting friends? Or would it be dangerous?

Try the salsa b4 you give it to your friends to see if its not too hot, if its ok for you it should be ok for them!

Wow, that's a prank? Like Twinnie said- You eat a spoon full first and than pass it around.

Not to take your fun away but.... Most people who like spicy food will willing try your salsa. I made extra hot salsa for my coworkers but I couldn't enjoy anything past mild.

Take it to the next level. Cook some down then lightly put it on the men's room door at work and sit back and wait. Trust me it works great

People have had cardiac arrest from eating sauce made with extreme peppers. Don't want your prank to go badly.....

would it be dangerous, maybe to you after they recover :)
Depends on the type of humor your friends are into, but you should still try it first and not push the limits

I have already been down this road. My brother can handle really spicy food. I totally can't. He has never an opportunity to point that I am a "pansy-ass" because I can't handle the hot spicy stuff like he can.
When I got some Trinidad Scorpion Moruga seeds. I knew exactly what needed to be done. Grew some, sent them to him with a note that said "hey try these new peppers". He doesn't know diddly squat about gardening so I figured he wouldn't know what they were, try them, and burn his face off. Then I would be able to laugh at him for months.
I didn't hear anything for months. Forgot about it. During Christmas I received a package from him with homemade salsa, which he has sent in the past. I took one bite of salsa from a jar labelled "Mild". As my mouth began to burn I realized what happened. The joke was on me.
