That split should not be a problem, just ride it out,, and put a fan on it,

From what I've heard Darren,,,,,,,, should be fine. I'm sure northshore Glenn will chime in,,,,, he knows everything about these stem splits:)

lol Chris, we learned from other great growers like Quinn Werner, Jake van Kooten, Craig Sandvic, Chris Delaney, Ron Wallace, and a few more, how to treat them out of necessity, and have saved quite a few of them from going down to stem splits over the years.

Richmond Dave did a photo journal of it in his diary last year, and took some great pics of what to do to release the pressure from a stem split, and keep it from going into the cavity. Here is the link;

We were always told you could slice all the way to within an inch of where the stem meets the main vine...

Good luck with it...

Great to see. Are those cuts added to the ends of the splits on the pumpkin walls? Should I do that too? <]:}

I don't even worry about stem splits anymore. E-mail me if you need any tips Darren.

Darren, I think Dave puts those other superficial slices as a guide to not go past...his were not into the flesh.

Email big moon and see what his methods are too...the more info the better...
