My 18 day old kin has little hairline size scars on the top of it. Looks like a road map or spider webs. Are these just stretch marks or could it be something else. Plant is healthy and kin is growing well.

Some growers call it cantalouping. They can develop a rough texture just like a cantaloupe. Are you keeping it covered? Too much sun can dry the skin and cause this. One thing I have noticed is that the tan pumpkins with lots of cantalouping tend to weigh a little heaviere than you would think at the weighoff.

I haven't been covering it much because with all the rain I didn't want a wet sheet on it all day. Dambed if you do, dambed if you don't!!
