just thinking about some ways to spice up the season for the unlucky ones. For those who may not have made the smartest decisions. For those who's trip down pumpkin lane has left them cold and bitter. we could have contests like, "worlds fastest end to a season" or most consecutive years in a row without a pumpkin! any ideas out there?

Largest side vine pumpkin. Both of mine are on side vines. I am still hoping though.

I have long thought there should be a special recognition for the largest dmg each year, and maybe at each weigh off. Maybe a trophy that has a crack in it or a framed photo of a plumbers butt or even better a trophy of a plumbers butt. I could have fun with this.
I think I heard that some guy in Europe might have the world record tied up for a while.

how a bout the largest flower!!Maybe we could make a giant bouqute and give it out to Ron or Pap or Don...you know the best growers in the world .....? They sure do work hard!!!!

I like your idea cavitysearch. My two biggest had the little DMG next to the name at the weigh-off. Knew that going in so it wasn't as bad, but it really stinks for those guys who thought they had a winner to find out there was a pin point hole that took them out that I always feel bad for.
