Hi,
Two weeks already we have sunny but not too hot weather over here.
My question is : in what conditions a pumpkin should be covered against the sun?
I don't think it's needed because the plant gets sun from 8AM-1PM and 4PM-dawn. The really hot hours the plant is in the shade of a tree and can cool off.
But can you tell when it's needed to cover up?

Mine get covered from the day they show on the vine, to pollination, all the way to harvest. Only time they get uncovered is for measuring
