Not for the kins, but ringers lactate was what the medics wanted to practice IVs with. A nice sugar pick me up.

Poking anything into a pumpkin is asking for bacterial rot to set in.

Hi Farmer Ben!
I did not mean into the fruit, but into the stem above the fruit. And the iv water is dextrose monohydrate.

I'm sure everything has been tried before. Roots are designed to absorb water. Stems, not so much. You can always try it and report the results!

A couple years ago on one of the message boards I joked about using milk IV. Some people actually believed it. I sure wouldn't do it.

WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR

Around 25 years ago I experimented with an milk iv after the pumpkin reached 150 pounds . Inserted it in a drilled hole at the tee in the vine where the stem connects .

Must of Od'ed on the white stuff as the pumpkin rotted by summers end .

Had to try it ................

I'm afraid that all your going to get is disappointed. Rot is the only thing that will happen, even on the vine itself. I suggest you can that idea & maybe look for other reasons why your not getting the results your looking for. I would suggest a tissue test just to make sure the plants are getting all the nutrients they need to be healthy & happy. If you do a tissue test & want help, send me the results & I'll try to help you figure it out. We've been doing them for years, so we have a bit of an idea what we are doing.

Remember, your plants are only as good as your weakest nutrients.
Good luck,
