Have there ever been any big ones grow pollinated around July 6? One of my set didn't take so I have to pollinate one around than.

Up until a few years ago the optimal pollination range was the first week of July, you still have between 80 and 90 good days of growth depending on when your weigh off is.

Later pollinations usually have a bigger plant to push it along. I don't start to worry until July 10.

19-20 feet out is fine, I pollinated at 19ft on 6/24/14 You should have a lot of plant behind that pollination at this point to push it.
