Hi all.

What's the best thing to do when a vine breaks? Had some bad weather here and have a few casualties with leaves breaking off. But this leaves a vine with a big hole just sitting there. Should I cover it? Spray it with fungicide?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

So is the vine broken or leaves missing? If you ever have leaves snapped in half, you can bamboo stake and zip Ty them up even if only half the at stalk is intact. If u already removed the leaves, I'd put a little captan powder on it. It will shoot out new growth at every node once you have a well set plant, and most side vines terminated. This new growth is is great for mid season replacement of bare spots and damaged leaves. My leaves are over 4 feet tall on one plant so every time the wind blows it plays dominos.

Get in touch with some big growers up by you like Shazzy. They can point you in the direction best for your area. That's just my method. Good luck
