I pollinated a female about 14 ft. out on main on the 27th. This was a 4 lober, although the lobes were kind of twisted around and not real uniform. No other deformities. The fruit is starting to take off. Pollinated another one this am on a uniform 4 lober. Both are set nice on the vine. Basically just wondering about any thoughts as I don't have anyone around home to confer with. Thanks Much

Sometimes when one pumpkin takes off the plant will abort the other pumpkins. While we all want to see the perfect symmetrical lobes this is more the exception than the rule.
Personally, I would say leave both on for a little while, but I would favor the one pollinated on the 27th. It is a roll of the dice and you will never know if you made the "best" choice. Sometimes you just have to go with what you think is the right selection.

Thanks Matt. I was pretty much thinking the same but nice to hear a response and thought. The first one is taking off. The BE is a little asymmetrical but I'll wait and see more results with both pollinated.
