I think I'll go out and try to simulate some hail damage. Maybe that damage makes the plant produce a hormone that grows World Records LOL!

I happen to be an expert when it comes to hail and pumpkins. LOl
This is actually a legitimate study that found that early season hail damage actually increased yield and weights of the pumpkins. Kind of an interesting read. Ready your hail simulating cannons:

Well then I should have 6 chances at WR, as my little plants had hail damage. It does appear that early stress stimulates an aggressive response. My early plant was severely stunted my moles tearing up roots, but now is over 700sqft with 17dap kin and showing no signs of slowing.

My 1783 last year was a may 6 germ, a ribbon vine I cut two times and had a had a three foot main June 20th. When the odds are stacked against best to not give up!
