Farming- a bunch of catastrophies that result in a lifestyle

1. I tried googling this, but no luck, does a bug zapper light attract cuke beetles or vine borers at night?
I am having a great season so far, with some great genetics, and want to keep it that way. As I'm only in season two, I have zero experience with feeding these monsters over the long haul. I am experienced enough in growing in general to be able to watch my plants for signs of nutrient needs, however, I don't want to 'dose them' to the moon and kick off the pumpkins.
2. When they do begin telling me they require some groceries, what's a good N-P-K ratio? They get their weekly dose of Phytomin (fish fert) 4-3-4. The systemic I currently use every two weeks is 9-14-9. They are on a time release fertilizer that is 3-4-7.
3. Do the kins require N? I know they want P and K and Calcium plus magnesium, but what effect does N have for the growing kin?
Basically, what's a big 'NO-NO' with these guys during kin growth period as far as adding nutrients.

One additional question:
4. Is there a chart or something somewhere that is a good indicator of where a kin 'should be' in OTT measurement at any given DAP?

No. 3 don't add too much N before pollination. You can put the plant into vine growing mode and cause fruit to abort.

I was wondering about N and pollination/aborting. How long before or after pollination would be a 'safe' bet to not risk aborting the kin? I'm wondering as one of my systemics is a 'feed' as well and contains 9-14-9. When would be safe to give that systemic in regards to number of days pre or post pollination?
VRTICKAR:
If I'm understanding you correctly, it's perfectly fine to pollinate with a male from the same plant, it's called 'self pollination'.

I tried to go to the link you provided, but it wouldn't open...

Okay, got the chart to load spence! The one kin I have is 2" behind what chart says for day12. So....back to the 'what do I feed it' question to bump the pumpkin along, but not create excess foliage.

Too much Nitrogen will cause spindly vine growth, and poor fruit set. I usually stop N a few weeks before pollination and until I am sure the kin hasn't aborted. If it has a dull sheen, it's probably aborted, fruits should have a shiny sheen.Bug zappers only entertain cuke beetles...
