Hi,
Here is something I have noticed: the decondaries that are on the same side as the second main vine (the most vigourous secondary vine, which is typically the 2nd or 3rd vine from the stump) tend to be slower. what have you guys noticed about this? The vines on the second mv side of my plant are a few inches long, while the ones opposite are about 2 feet long. This also happened last year.

what i think he is saying is the secondaries on one side are growing faster than the others. I have this same issue, but mine has to do with sun light. I have an extra morning sun keeping them hardy and stocky on the left side. this causes longer secondaries on the other searching for that sun.

Some call it the back main. Few years a go my main vine acquired something funky turned yellow. I trained my back main as the primary . It was only 3-4 ft at the time. Grew my pb 818. Pap gave me the idea.
