Close call Don .... but it looks like heavy stuff will all be south of us! I'm hoping not to wake up to any surprises tonight!

We caught the bottom tip of the storm. One leaf nearly lost his life, but due to a quick response team equipped with a zip tie and bamboo stake, the bruised but not beaten leaf will be around to harbor insect eggs and collect bird dung another day.

Those were some intense storms, hopefully southern IA growers came out OK.

Luke - our thoughts and prayers go out to your damaged leaf. Will pray for a quick recovery, LOL

I drove back home last night after St. Louis Cardinals game on Avenue of the Saints. It rained terribly hard in northeast Missouri, but it didn't look like we got it too hard around home. It was a miserable drive with the rain and lightning, especially since my wife is a Royals fan and they won the game.

Seven different bad boys came through where I'm at Don' (directly across from Keokuk Iowa and south a couple clicks. Last night starting at about 10:15...Had all the plants protected very good and they survived hail and 70+ mph winds. The only thing is that I forgot the lump of coal placement...could've had some diamonds at around 11:30 or so when the 179.4 Debacco's small wind barrier went south about 10 ft off the ground in a flash. No sign of it this mornin, lol.
