memorial weekend is for many a great time to grill burgers and drink beer.many also view it as a day off with pay.

for me? and many other veterans its a special time to honor the many men and women that gave service to their country.

many never came home. they made the ultimate sacrifice.

god bless the vet.

Amen, Pap. Visit the grave of one of your relatives who was in the service over the past 150 years or so and say thanks.

And say thanks in a special way to a WWII vet. They are vanishing every day.

Not forgetting our soldiers presently in service. Thank you all.

Semper Fi PAP, 1968-1970 USMC. Like you said PAP many great Americans lost their lives and gave their lives so that this great country of ours would stand great so that the living could go on and enjoy their lives. It is a great sacrafice to serve in the Military and a greater sacrafice to give your life so others could go on. My hat is off to all the families of this Great Country who have lost their loved ones in Wars past and present. May god be with you each day until you are reunited. I thank all the vets past and present for your service. THANK YOU.

i always think back to the horror and sacrifice those brave men and women showed ,especially early on when thousands were lost in a single day.
i was very fortunate to have served in between korea and vietnam otherwise who knows where i might be today?
