This is my 2009 Wallace. It seems to be growing alright but the leaves seem droopy to me and the color seems a little yellow and splotchy. Its been pretty gray and cool ever since it went in the ground. Am I just being paranoid. Anyone want to chime in?

Hopefully just low nitrogen due to the cold. Are they that yellow or is that the pic? 2 years back, when I got some residual roundup on my leaves, it looked like that especially on new growth. The leaves were a neon yellow and some were blotched green/yellow.

Made similar observations when weather was cold (and soil had been cold). Looks like low N and/or Mn, both could be caused by low soil temperature.

Soil temp is at 72 with a heating cable. The weather is turning this week. I will give it a little fish fertilizer and see what happens.

How wet is your soil?

Its in a small greenhouse so I have been controlling the moisture. I think it has appropriate wetness Its not saturated and its not dry. The leaves were looking better this morning. I think things are going to be OK. I am going to chalk it up to lack of sunlight and not enough Nitrogen.

Its a small plant so the roots haven't traveled too far.
I had a similar problem last year on one plant. I figured the roots hit a small clump of not so broken down manure. By the middle of June the plant greened up nice.

Looks like lack of light to me with a potential of iron deficiency. (It is not nitrogen as the older leaves look fine.) Either way a few days in the sun shoudl help and if not send me an updated pictures and I can take a look at it for you.
