Farming- a bunch of catastrophies that result in a lifestyle
|
In thinking about crosses... My Dark green "bell" (squash) that I'm growing this year is a cross of it's self from last year. What are the pro and cons of re-selfing her this year? I have no family tree for her either. But it is one powerful plant. I have tons of selfed seeds from her already....would the seeds from another selfed be stronger, or weaker, or would there be any difference at all?

I failed to mention: I have one of the selfed in patch now- if anything, this plant, compared to last year, is actually more vigorous and huge. I went as far back in AG genetic posts as 2011 but didn't really find an answer...
