I am taking guesses what growers think my greenhouse-grown pumpkin, “Marshmallow” will weigh. I will be having the official Team-Pumpkin certified weigh-in on Sunday April 13th at noon EST, and I plan to be in the “Pumpkin Chat” chat room live during the event, so those that cannot attend can still feel as if they are part of the Team in some way.

Rules of the contest:
1. The goal is to guess the weight of Marshmallow to the tenth of a pound, as the scale that will be used will have this degree of accuracy.
2. Each grower is allowed only one guess, and the grower that is the closest will win a seed (if there are seeds in it) or one of my 1766.5 DeBacco ’13 seeds
3. In the event of a tie, the grower that does not go over the final weight will be deemed the winner
4. The first grower to state a particular weight will ‘own’ that weight, and any grower that posts the same weigh will not be recognized.
5. Only publicly posted weights will be considered.
6. There is no guarantee of germination.
7. Deadline to submit your guess is Sunday, April 13th, 6:00am EST

As I read through all the posts it seems that the two closest weights were…

pumpkingoober = 179.9
And
seedling = 177.7

With the outpour of support, I am going to award one seed to each of the above people. They (along with anyone else) can purchase additional seeds at 30.00 each and there are already quite a few requests received.
