Sure do, the commercial agriculture business is also starting to market humics and humic/fertilizer blends to promote sustainability based on environmental concerns(water contamination from phosphorous leaching/run-off.)

If I remember right, fulvic acids have a higher oxygen rate/smaller molecular size, making them a better candidate for foliar feeding, while humic acid is a better soil conditioner. Both are shown to benefit plants by making nutrients easier to uptake even when adverse conditions "lock them up."
If there's a possibility that adding fulvic acid to a spraying regimen can increase the effectiveness of the fertilizers we're already spraying, i say why not. Seems like it could also put a little money back in our pockets.

Last year I used fulvic acid, whenever I foliar fed I added in 1g of fulvic acid in every 5L tank. Stuff I use is 70% fulvic and is shown in my diary

Yep.....I add a little with everything, every time I spray anything. Fulvic for foliar and humic for soil are like a carbon food for mych fungi. Thats why most soil activators have humic and kelp. And molasses feeds beneficial bacteria. A product I spray in an easy bottle attached to hose is "Natures Magic". I spray after all tilling amending and heat cables in. A good food source activator to get the soil food web in gear. Adding a little fulvic with each spray finds its way to each tap root funneling down leaves. Keep your myc. Fungi happy. Learned about fulvic acid from Gene McMullen about 6 years ago. How much of a factor...who knows. For me it hasn't hurt

I have been using for years as well.

In fact ever since Dr. Linderman suggested that FA might carry Ca into phloem. FA is a smaller molecule, and at the time he thought it might have some ability to allow for Ca mobility. Sadly for any grower with BES this has not been proven.

However FA does allow for greater root zone mobility of micro nutrients. FA helps to keep CA and other micro's soluble. This allows for enhanced entry into the root system and the xylem.

Fulvic Acid (FA) the (HA) cousin is more concentrated and smaller particle form of the acid blends that is usually found in liquid form. It's referred to as a plant growth booster that increases plant metabolism and improves root development by also increasing nutrient intake. It is naturally produced in soil by composting and or years of organic matter decay. FA can rejuvenate soil and is an excellent supplement to fertilizers. It is also used to improve nutrient absorption and also to raise the soils CEC.

Does it adding Ha or the Fa cousin to your soil work? Drive by a nearby marsh or wetland and find out for yourself. Muck soils found in marshy and low wetlands are often used to grow vegetables. Marshy and swampy drained soils are rich in both Acids and are some of the very best productive areas on the planet. Thanks largely to the accumulation of the HA & FA built up in the soil over the millennium growers are able to boost yields.

These are the chief benefits of adding HA or FA to your soil.

* Increased water and nutrient holding capacity CEC is raised.
* Increased reserve of nutrients. Calcium & Magnesium
* Enhanced root uptake of phosphorus, boron, zinc, iron, manganese, and copper

Thanks Russ ,very interesting I grow next to wetlands on a land filled flood zone from the 1970s.Great info.

I just got a case of Ancient Earth in its 24$ a liter.free shipping in U.S 30$ out the door to Canada.It will cost 16$ to ship it.Might be cheaper to find it in Canada.Again the profits go to the prize money.

I really like all the info in this thread. I had purchased some soluble humic and fulvic acid in my first year growing. I had sparingly used the humic and I hadn't even opened the fulvic acid until yesterday. I seemed to be behind on everything and reactive to problems in the patch and never got around to using either one.

I would like to know if I added enough of each to do some good in my patch size and if my proportions(amounts/gallon) are correct.
Yesterday I mixed up three 4 gallon batches in my backpack sprayer and covered my 4000 sq ft patch evenly. I painted the cover crop black with the stinky stuff. This is what I did.

Humic Acid : Used 2 Tablespoons(3/4 oz or 23 grams)/ gallon for a total of 9oz/4000sq ft
Fulvic Acid : Used 1 Tablespoon(1/4 oz or 7 grams)/ gallon; 3oz/4000sq ft
