After much thought and review of all of the names submitted I have reached the chosen name for my winter project pumpkin which will now be known as…

Marshmallow

As a special note, “Marshmallow” will be weighed at Team-Pumpkin’s first weigh-off of the year on April 13th, 2014 at noon EST. I will do my best to have chat up to capture the fun and excitement of the event, so if you are unable to attend this is one way that you can be part of the Team.

Watch my diary for continued updates and thank you to all that offered suggestions. There were some great suggestions and many that made my near final list and it was difficult to select a winner but ultimately I had to make a selection down to one. The fact that so many growers were willing to participate in the naming of my pumpkin was a welcomed surprise to me, and I want to thank everyone again for participating.
