Wow!!!! So around April 20 could be a lot better for me?? Last year was my first year my biggest was 328 pounds!! I've got alot to learn!!!

Well I didn't always follow that advice and in 2012 I lost both of my keepers plants when they were over 6 feet long. Fortunately, Cntryboy and his wife, had backups that they sent me by mail over night.. This was in June and they had one root bound plant still in a small pot. I was able to get one set in August and around 400 pounds.
To answer the question, a few side plants you just let grow in a pot just "incase" $h!t hits the fan. It saved my season and they had them a good month for backups.
