At the end of last season, I broke my Nelson water timer, ( wm5945 ). It worked great, and it appears that they discontinued this model. I did see one on ebay, but I want some other options. I would like to keep it at $50.00 or less. What are you all using , and what do you like about yours ?

This is mine:
http://www.amazon.com/Orbit-91932-4-Station-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B0013I978O/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt
Which I see is also now no longer made.
4 zones, 3 cycles each per day. I really liked the setup. I have picked up a few extra ones the last couple years, as Walmart and Home Depot have been moving them to the sale racks at about 25 or 35 dollars for the timer, manifold, and 2 valves. The valves last a few years, and the computer should last quite a while if the water doesn't get into it. A set of fresh batteries at the start of the season will last until fall. If you can find a set on the discount rack this spring, grab it. They originally sold for $50 I believe.

I have good luck contacting ORBIT to get replacement timers and valves for discontinued models. Give it a try.

Agreed, the orbit stuff is good. I use the model 91250.

Is right around your price range. I use them for misting, if needed and have never had a problem. Battery operated interval and duration dials.
