Hello,
I am in search of a 1985 Miller for my garden this year. I have some good seeds to trade for if you are interested, or if you could get me into contact with Mr. Miller. My email address is pumpkingrower493@gmail.com
Sincerely Ryan

I think the 1985 is going to be the seed to grow this year. Gary was kind enough to give me one at Elk Grove last week and it's going in the patch.
Good luck Ryan!

Being an old retired guy with little else to do than pursue my gardening habit, I often sit with the morning coffee and stare at the Pumpkin Fanatic progeny pages. Yes, that 1985 is going to make some biggies for sure. I see also, that some folks by the name of Young, grew an 829 with the same cross, 2009 x 1725. Would this not be the same genetic potential? Was this seed in the auctions this winter? I think there has to be some dirt out there with the 829's name on it. Anybody planting the 829?

The 1985 will likely be different genetically than the 829 or any other 2009/1725 cross imho. They look the same on paper but with genetic differences from seed to seed you will likely get big differences between those two seemingly like crosses.

I know Gary doesn't get online much, but does anyone know what the 1725 produced that pollinated his 2009 plant? I'm wondering how aggressive it was, did is split, make it to the scales, go heavy, etc?

I have lots of pumpkin seeds and some Squash seeds for trade. I also think that the 1985 will be a great seed and the genetic potential is obviously there. But could anyone get me into contact with Gary?
