This will be my third year at my current garden location, and I have seen the worm count rise substantially in that time. I plan on adding nightcrawlers and wigglers this springto further boost the number. My previous location had very high worm counts, so never felt it necessary. Any comments on the matter would be appreciated.

i would rather put more organic matter to boost the worm population the worms will do the rest (multiplicate) if both species are there, they will naturaly reproduce to the maximum your soil can sustain i think its a waste of time to introduce more worm if they are already there

I like to add more myself each spring after I till since I chop so many up. Not sure if it helps, but it gives me peace of mind.

Put some of those wigglers in a compost pile. They'll break it down faster and youll be adding them and their eggs every season when you add the compost.
