Hi,
Last sunday, with the rain that we were predicted to receive, and nice temperatures, I thought that it would be the perfect time to plant my winter rye spring covercrop. I looked at it just yesterday and it was starting to come in nicely with the regular intervals of rain and heat, but now one of the largest storms for a while is comming in, and when I woke up this mourning, i found that it had been pouring for several hours, and that its fprecasted to pour for the rest of the day. So, will my covercrop (only just sprouted) survive the rain? Thanks!

It will be fine...
We get lots and lots of rain on our coast, and my cover crop is awesome. You just wont have to water for a short while.
Its all good...just let it grow!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but you can get poor germination with rye if it is too wet

if it just sprouted and is not somewhat rooted ...yep there is a good chance it could wash away depending on how hard it rains

It will be fine. Takes a lot of rain day after day for new crop seeds to rot..
