Put it in your freezer and keep it there till you are going to use it. I store mine in the freezer. Never had a problem.

All those volunteer seeds that pop up from the rotten pumpkin pile each year are frozen right now and they grow really well. As others said, not a problem.

Water christalizes when frozen. This generally causes tissue damage in living organisms. Despite this, I guess that freezing a seed will not really do any damage (at least it shouldn't) as seeds have a very low moisture content. On the storage part, I do not freeze my seeds, but it might be something worth investigating. Maybe I could freeze one of my seeds and check the inside for any damage just to make sure.

i heard its the best way to keep them for very long time is to freeze em , but you gotta make sure they are very dry in plant research they dry the seeds then put them in sealed air tight container then they freeze them to a given temperature to maximize their life

Russian scientists found a seed in the permafrost that was 30,000 years old and it germinated it was some little wild flower.. so frozen seed is ok... google ice age seed.

theres a lot of different methods to holding /storing seeds. personally ron and i have nevr frozen a seed in over 25 years of growing.we store them in their original packaging envelope ,inside a heavy small sealed storeage box, placed in a dark closet.(aka the vault-lol)
freezing also works well im told but we just never found a need or benefit to doing it.
just be sure your storage is mouse proof or you will definately wish you had them in the freezer.
either way its all good.
