When is the best time to apply Actinovate fungicide ?Can it be applied before spring tilling and will it hurt mycos during plant transplant or is it preferred to start use after transplant?

I never used it before planting.I use it after the plant is a month old or more.Should it be used earlier?

I read more on the subject last night and still found little info about treating the soil before tilling in the spring.I think it would be a good idea to pretreat the soil and till the actinovate in so it gets deeper into the soil and more even through out then using it as a soil drench.

I've only used it as a foliar to prevent or treat fungal issues like powdery mildew. I've found it's much more effective as a preventative than actual treatment. What would it's function in the soil be? Can it survive/thrive in the soil to reduce fungal pathogens in the soil?

From what I understand it is part of the soil composition anyway, and this would just add more protection in the soil.I would think that if I sprayed the soil before I tilled, then tilled it in I would not have to do any drenching and would have equal protection to the whole root system. Then after transplant it could be foliar sprayed at a reduced level.A 2 oz package covers 5000 sq ft so plan on spraying my yard too

Actino w/ Iron as part of the starter mix here. Actinovate to feed the seedlings, and along the way as well as foliar. I haven't used it pre-planting, but would consider it as an option if I had disease issues.

I lost 2 last year to root rot so this looks like a great product to prespray and till in before I transplant

Its part of the root biosphere so putting it in when planting and vine burying may be good. Ive just used it foilar for pm.

It's just so damn expensive I wonder what the most effective usage is. Will it get eaten in the soil by other microbes? I guess I don't have any answers on this one, but curious if anyone has any info on it. Might need to call the company (though many companies will recommend what sells the most product)

I've found that using Actinovate as a foliar application starting around the 2nd week of August works wonders for preventing powdery mildew. You always get a little PM in Colorado around the last week of August or first week of September, depending on the weather, but I haven't had any real problems since doing the foliar.

Actinovate has worked great for my leaves and prevented disease the last 2 years. Soil is another story, I got a bad case of gummy stem last year and it ruined my season. I did use actionovate as a drench but only along the main vine. I think you'd have to have enough to treat the whole area of soil.
