My phone rang yesterday it was a 12 year old young lad from Texas.Starting asking me for some Tiny seeds.Said he grew a 960 from a Hester seed & crossed it with the 2009 Wallace. He told me I should get the Ron Wallace DVD & watch it.lol He had Joel Hollands DVD also.He was on fire with passion for growing giant pumpkins. He said he found my number on the internet.lol He took me back 40 years, this would of been me had I knew about Howard Dill in 1973.He will remain nameless,on here to protect his privacy.I told him I was giving him a membership. He choose Giant Pumpkin of course.I will be sending him all 3 products on my site for free.I will continue to mentor him with free product all summer.Wow! What a great feeling to see a young feller headed in a healthy God given direction.Growing! He already has plants vining out.I love this sport!

Awesome. Wouldn't it be great if a lot of other kids his age or even a few years older had the same passion to be out in the garden instead of on the computer or into watching Tv and silly games. It's great what your doing for this young lad

Everyone should reach out and support someone who shows interest. I have a group of 4/H kids I'm giving a presentation to this week. It's the small things that kids remember. But in our case BIG Pumpkins.

Yes I had a member sign his 10 year old son up this week for the watermelon class. If the youth is doing 70% of the work they are welcome to join.I know we cant enforce the percentage. However I feel it should be defined. We operate on a honesty policy.Youths are welcome.Take a kid fishing & teach them how to garden.Throw the cell phone & remotes in the trash can.lol

Growing giant vegetables can help the youths out in school also. My daughter, now age 16, has been growing giant watermelons and pumpkins as a "Supervised Agricultural Experience" for her FFA chapter for two years now. When graduating she will recieve an FFA Degree and be eligble for several scolarships. The 171 pound melon that she brought to school gained a lot of attention for giant growing. Several of the ag kids have asked me for seeds. The school agriculture department has even incorporated giant vegetable growing into the curriculum.
