The short answer: Because we live in a fallen world. (starting with Adam & Eve) This is not the world God intented for us to live in when He originally created it. But thankfully He sent His Son so we could live as He intended for us to live after this life is over.

Cause the devil dont like good folks.bad folks get rewarded for there sins so they keep doing it.but the good lord will give you back ten times if you smile at the devil when hes doing his worst.

The older you get, the easier it is to brush off the bad. At least for me, there is too much good out there to sit and dwell. Shit happens, everyone steps in it, just a matter of how well you can deal with it.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. You realize this more and more as you get older and understand it's just a natural part of the human experience.

kar·ma [kahr-muh] NOUN 1. Hinduism, Buddhism. action, seen as bringing upon oneself inevitable results, good or bad, either in this life or in a reincarnation: in Hinduism one of the means of reaching Brahman. 2. Theosophy. the cosmic principle according to which each person is rewarded or punished in one incarnation according to that person's deeds in the previous incarnation. 3. fate; destiny. 4. the good or bad emanations felt to be generated by someone or something: Lets get out of here. This place has bad karma.
I hear Christians talk about Karma,This confuses me.I am a Christian.Karma is not part of the Christian beleif.I fine with it if your a Buddhist Or Hindu.I hear people every week say this (Karma).Confusing??

When bad things happen to a good person, when cruelty happens but most of all the things that happen to children around the world. Free will?........ certainly a faith shaker for me! There's just no rationalisation within my limited understanding.
I hope nothing bad has happened to people you care about Jordan.

What goes around comes around! Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. Change your thoughts and you will change your world. Be stronger than your excuses. Suffer the pain of discipline of suffer the pain of regret. What defines us is how well we rise after falling. Good things come to those who work there ASSES off.

I think Faith is the difference. Lots of things in this world are hard to understand. Christians do have a better understanding because they have that faith. Im not a beliver in karma or luck, good or bad.

I'm really sorry for your pain you must be going through.
With so many people there be so many answers to this question. Is answers the only answer I understand is that there was only one good person. And we crucified him on the cross. In the end we live in a fallen world with fallen people that even with all our best intentions we still hurt the ones we love. So many suffer from hopelessness, and they spread some of the most pain. Because every day they feel the most pain. In the end I just pray that I don't get what I deserve and that God gives me the grace to handle whatever comes down the pike

There are those people who are always crying woe is me and there are those people who let most bad stuff roll off their backs like water on a duck. You can surround yourself with positive people or hang with the woe is me crowd. Life is what you make of it so quit whining and move forward time is a wasting! IMHO!

JABC, You didn't say who or what happened to them. In life things happen because that's the way life is and will always be. You need to be and do the best you can to accept and comfort or help. That is the best you can do. If you do the best you can you know you did what you could. I hope you can accept that you did the best you could for them. and be happy that you know you will always be the kind of person that will be there to help when needed with no expectation of what you get out of it other than knowing you did the best you could.

Just because they or we are Christians doesn't give us a straight ticket to skip hardships in life. Some times god put we Christians through more trials than others, but the Bible says God will not put us through more than we can handle. I can do all things through him that strengths's me.

Sometimes Jordan, I think it's a test of faith or a lesson from God. When things don't go our way we seem to ask a lot of questions, but when they do we think about it very little. I should have been dead (or seriously injured)at least 5x by now. I used to say oh I was lucky, but thinking back, it's not luck. The best thing to do is be positive and look forward not back and think sometimes of how much you have been blessed.

"In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world". Faith puts our momentary troubles into perspective. Remember we are here today and gone tomorrow. Like a flower of the field in a pumpkin patch. Brief is our stay on this earth. Our focus is supposed to be on the eternal, but it is so easy to get caught up in this world and the here and now. Those that are righteous have just as much trouble and hardship as anyone else in this life. It developes our character, faith, patience, perseverence, kindness, and love. It makes us more like our God. In the eternal afterlife, our momentary troubles will be far outweighed be eternal pleasures for those in Christ. It is humbling and a great reminder, keep your eye on the prize. "what does it profit a man if he gains the world but looses his soul?"

"Life is difficult". I find that the more readily I accept this truth, the easier it is to deal. We all deal with it. Its how you choose to deal with it. Really bad things happen to good people and bad people - working in the hospital for 10 years showed me that.

This is a great question. It ranks up there with "Who am I? Why am I here? What happens to me when I die?" All of these are interrelated. I just came back from teaching the 11-year olds Sunday School class... ;-) These things take a lifetime to learn, but let me throw out a few nuggets: The soul is eternal. You lived before you were born. God is real, He lives and loves you. There is a purpose for this life and there is a life to come. Now, when you know that it gives life meaning and perspective, and the realization that things that happen are for our experience, betterment, and learning. I hope you will seek Him in faith!

My close cousin just landed a great job and then lost his wife to another man. He has never been so broken and dependent and close to God as he is now. Suffering does this. We are all broken and need relationship with God, but usually don't realize it.

I explained this to my atheist friend 30 years ago.I told Jim I cant be wrong.I can beleive in God & live this life & die and cant be wrong. No one will ever know if I am right or wrong & 200 years from now there will still be people who beleive in God and they cant be proven wrong. You however could be wrong & may find out some day you are.Well 30 years later I see Jim is a believer, he post stuff on FB all the time he is a Christian. Some call it fire Insurance,We call it faith.

Handy, you are a mess!!! A good mess, but still a mess!!! 1st, you could live this life & die and be WRONG!!! I also have faith...not the same as yours, but still have faith!!! On Saturday, my mom (also has faith), and is a good Christian lady, fell on the ice, and was severly injured!!! Her faith did not stop her from falling, or bones broken....no fire Insurance!!!? Bad things do happen to good people!!! JA,I admire yer last line!!! It could be worse!!! Mom is in hospital for a few days but will recover, and be home in a week or so!!! I do NOT think God did this to my Mom!!!Peace, Wayne
