I usually don't like to beg, but would anyone like to grow one of my seeds this year? I've been growing for 6 years but I've never had the joy to watch someone else grow my seeds. (besides my neighbour)
The seed is my 409 Abbate 2011 (222 Abbate 2010 x Self)
The 222 Abbate is (900 Sandvik est x Self) The 900 Sandvik est is (1161 Rodonis x 998 Pukos)
My neighbour down the road grew the 409 to 1476 lbs dmg in 2012. It was grown in an orchard and was on track for 1700+ but it developed a soft spot after a rainy week.

Jordan, is this the same neighbour that also grew a 1326 dmg in 2010 that you mentioned in your diary? If so he/she is some kinda special grower and you should tap into that local knowledge and grow that seed yourself.

Different grower than the 1326 but same area and similar conditions. There are a lot of long-time farmers around here, it's amazing what happens when you give them a plant. I will be growing the 409 again this year.

My advice if you're that concerned over someone growing your seeds is if you can't grow giant, grow orange or just for potential genetic crosses. Get some big name orange seeds, cross them or self them, and grow a beauty. People will come to you. You have to put something out there like any other product in life that people want. Find your niche and run with it, and I'd mix some other names in there instead of selfing every year.
