Its been 75*-80* here for weeks ,and another week ahead! YA its nice for working in the yard & stuff, , Except no rain this yr at all & last yr was a 130 yr record low total, All of 2013 we had 3.5 Inches, Yes for the hole yr ! But at least i don't live where they have to bring in the polar bears because its to cold !!! Sorry Guys !!!

We had already had numerous days below 0 here. Just a couple of days after New year's it got down to -29*F actual. Who knows what the wind chill was. Friggen bone chilling cold I will tell you, that's for sure. It never got above -12*f that day.

So cold we have been getting loud bangs from what are called frost quakes. Had a couple this morning, one of them on the Jan 3rd woke us up at 2 am. At -12*f this morning this system is at least for Southern Ontario a bit warmer than the coldest night I can ever remember in my 56 years on Jan 3rd

Wow, I send my warm thoughts from the Caribbean of Canada to all of you. After reading this thread I told the wife I'll quit complaining now when I need to put on gloves to work in the yard. We had some frost the past few days but we are back to the good old rain now.
Fissh- Yes,the west coast did have a dry year. We were down from around 40 inches average to just over 20, which is nice but an alarming trend perhaps. We shall see what the new year brings.
