Giant pumpkins on "Shipping Wars". Sometime on Dec. 6th or after (new season), Tim Parks and the Ohio Valley Giant Pumpkin Growers will be featured on the "Shipping Wars" TV program ( A and E network). This is the same channel as "Duck Dynasty". We will be shipping a dozen large pumpkins to the Louisville, Ky. Metro Parks.

West Munroe La.? Now that would be an epic drive from the northern climates. You think it's fun to be seen on the road trucking/towing giant pumpkins to the contests, think how you'd affect traffic thru several states. Any thoughts Don?

I understand that is getting off track but after reading Don post I have to add.
When I was growing the big ones and going to weigh off (in a open pick up) I would carry a camera as when I would stop (to eat or to get gas or what ever) people, big and little would come up to me and - are they real, can I touch them, can I take a picture and the ones that had kids and did not have a camera, I would take a picture of the kids with the pumpkin and give it to them (an instent camera), it would just make there day and mine. And the people on the xway, the smiles and thumb up this is one thing I got out of growing the big ones ! Can I touch it, is it real !! :-)
