If anyone is interested I have decided to start making customized seed packets. The packets include a picture of the pumpkin, the weight, grower name, the year that the pumpkin was grown,the male and female plants,along with additional information like what percent heavy the pumpkin was. Here is how you order;

Send a email varyfing that you would like to buy x ammount of seed packets(50 or 100). Include the information that you would like on the packet and a full sized picture of the pumpkin you would like to be on the packet. I will include my adress in the reply email, to which a envelope with payment could be sent. Seed packets will be sent out with in 5 days after ordering.

prices for the packets are $15 for 50 packets and $20 for 100 packets. This price includes shipping.

Please send the email to: taxbuster2@msn.com

Thank you!

Ashton, could you post a picture (maybe in your diary) of an example?

Thanks.

Sounds great, especially for us semi- rookies. Can you tell us the expected turnover time once you get the check and information?

Thanks,

Jack

North shore: I have posted a picture in my diary and I will post a link as soon as the picture is put up.

Olympian: It should take no more than 5 days depending on how many are ordered and how many people are ordering. I would suspect that it would be a day or 2 after the payment comes that is should be sent out.

Thank you for your interest!

Ashton

Ashton it is a good Idea. Although I think you need to work on your presentation. Show me something that is not hand written on a plain brown coin envelope.

Ashton -- I'd have to agree with Linus and as yardman mentioned there are avery label sheets that are made in various sizes so you could just print the entire label to attach to the envelopes and they have software available on their site to download that will format the full sheet to print by just putting in the info 1 time and it will duplicate for all the labels on a sheet and print. Doing it this way would save you a lot of time (only enter the info 1 time and prepare as many labels as you want to print) so you might be able to lower the price and improve the look.

It's a good idea for those that do not have access to a laser printer or don't want to do it themselves but the price is a bit high (understandable if your investing the time to hand print as that is time consuming but printing directly would only add a small cost and save a lot of time ) For example here is a pic of the labels I printed on regular mailing address labels ( you'd probably want a bit larger size for the seed envelopes to give more room for info and a bit larger pic ) ( PIC LINK : http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc189/JDFanning_bucket/Label_zps1f578d6e.jpg?t=1385345566 )

There right Ashton, get some Avery labels don't forget female first pollinator second. Skip the wigs and bubba teeth and you'll be fine.

I'd pay for someone that packages seeds like Matt DeBacco. He sure has an impressive arrangement.
