I received a call this morning from someone looking to purchase a pumpkin in the 500-1000 pound range to be dropped for some event in the Lancaster area. If anyone has one within an hour or two from Lancaster post a message with a phone number or email and I will put you in touch with the gent.

I will hazard a guess and say Pumpkin Madness at Cherry Crest Farm. I took a pumpkin there for display only ( a couple of years ago) and they treated us like royalty.
I would love to help but all I have is a 250 pound pumpkin this year.

Good guess. This guy is quite the networker. Price wise I just about dropped my pants and bent over for this dude on a 400 pound pumpkin and he didn't take it. I think he is looking for closer to 1000 lbs. What do you expect the day before Halloween?

Cherry Crest Farm is the spot. I never met him.. He would like it for Saturday and would need to pick it up Friday. I'm not sure of the prices they expect to pay.. anyone who has something would have to negotiate with them. Color is certainly not an issue with the pumpkin as its going to be dropped.
