Russ Pugh and I went to 6 weigh-offs this season. It was a lot of work loading and unloading pumpkins and to be honest I could have never done it without Pugh. Four of the weigh-offs we used his flat bed trailer and he drove. Thanks buddy! I'm just curious has anyone gone to more than 6 weigh-off in one season and for the record I beat him 3 times and he beat me 3 times. Next year I plan on going 6-0.

Russ since you two boys were 3-3 at the weighoffs, we'll need each pumpkin's weights and do the total weights of the 6 to break the tie. Let's see them!

My top 3 GPC total 4417
Pugh's top 3 GPC total 4308
Both good enough for jackets but I think I won.

Entered 6 this year myself, went to a 7th as a spectator (that was a nice break). That's about my normal fall schedule for quite a few years now.

You'll get used to it after a few years Russ, lol

I think Jerry Rose competed in 7 different weigh offs this year. It was great to meet and compete with him this year at Bengtsons Farms. Great guy!

You can make it 8 for Jerry Rose, he made the trip up to Ontario for the Prince Edward County Pumpkinfest this past weekend. It was great to talk to you Jerry and catch up on old times!

Phat Joe, That is left up to the site coordinators ... and the growers police the stats.. Just think how BP would lite up for that....

Also please note, only one fruit should be listed as competition fruit at the event... the rest are exhibition.... A growers name should not appear twice in the top 10 per the WO rules....

made it 7 with entries for all
all 5 PNWGPG
and 2 PGVG culminating in last place in the Pumpkin Regatta rowing challenge
no pride in beating a sunken boat or the Scandinavian Viking boat entry by Barker, LaRue, and Tobeck. They embarrassed the Sons of Norway and Lief Ericsson. They get credit for deception with their electric motor. When the motor died their "In-Sync" rowing skills had something to be desired. Next time Jack better hire someone with Qualtiy Control experience for boat design and the Helmsman job. Costumes were nice though.

Thanks to Nilbert for paying off the announcer to embarrass me and broadcast my name to several thousand spectators as the last place finisher. It was a bad boat I thought. Guy won in the next heat by rotating the bow about 90 degrees. What a difference.

SkyWiZzzy..It was fun to visit your WO in Colorado Springs and get to talk to you and your brother not to mention Joe. It was a lot of fun. Apprecated the opportunity to help. There never seems to be enough help at a weighoff.
